Just a bit outside .... Players ranked 101 to 125

The gang’s all here.

Now that I’m down to the top 30, there are no more surprises. The players that will be announced are almost always the ones mentioned when it comes to “Greatest Point Guard,” “Greatest Power Forward,” etc. Obviously, Steph Curry is likely to join this group. You can quibble about where they rank in the top 30, but statistically, there is a clear difference between the top 30 and the rest.

This post is about the other end of the spectrum. I’ve gotten an occasional email asking “what about ……”

Here are the players ranked No. 101 to No. 125 on my list.

Rank, Player, Total Points
No. 101 – George Yardley, 353
No. 102 – Neil Johnston, 354
No. 103 – Vince Carter, 357
No. 104 – Bob Dandridge, 358
No. 105 – Shawn Kemp, 360
No. 106 – Billy Cunningham, 362
No. 107 – Andre Iguodala, 363
No. 108 – Mark Jackson, 364
No. 109 – Dikembe Mutombo, 368
No. 110 – Ben Wallace, 368
No. 111 – Anthony Davis, 369
No. 112 – Alex English, 372
No. 113 – Bailey Howell, 372
No. 114 – Gail Goodrich, 373
No. 115 – Buck Williams, 376
No. 116 – Adrian Dantley, 383
No. 117 – Dominique Wilkins, 385
No. 118 – Amar’e Stoudemire, 385
No. 119 – Jack Sikma, 390
No. 120 – Grant Hill, 390
No. 121 – Bill Laimbeer, 393
No. 122 – Draymond Green, 395
No. 123 – Carmelo Anthony, 397
No. 124 – Walter Davis, 397
No. 125 – Joe Dumars, 402

Going in, I thought Dominique Wilkins was going to be a Top 100 player. I was shocked that he wasn’t even close. Carmelo Anthony also scored surprisingly low. Vince Carter is perhaps a season away from sneaking into the Top 100 based on his whole career. Andre Iguodala could as well. They’ll be short stays if Anthony Davis begins playing for a consistent playoff team.
