No. 63 - Bill Sharman

Bill Sharman was part of the best backcourt of the 1950s who became a four-time champion once the Celtics added Bill Russell.
Sharman was a second round draft pick of the Washington Capitols. He was solid for the first two years and then became an all-star when Bob Cousy joined the team, which had relocated to Boston.
Beginning in 1952-1953, Sharman was picked for eight straight all-star teams. He had solid PERs, ranging from 16.8 to 19.8, and better win shares since that stat is based a lot on winning. He had at least 7.7 in win shares and as many as 10.4 from 1952-1953 to 1959-1960. Russell joined the team in 1956-1957 and the Celtics won NBA titles in four of his last five seasons.
It’s the consistent winning – his teams won 63 percent of his regular season games and 59.7 percent of his playoff games – that drove his scores up.
